Special Mix consists of white Swedish peat soil of the highest quality.
1 gram of Special Mix can absorb 10 grams of water. The peat soil is coarsely chopped and mixed with perlite, Swedish clay, lime, trace elements and organic fertilizer.
It is a complete, ready-to-use substrate mixture. Due to its unique structure, it can be used in 30% drainage systems, as well as without drainage. In a system without drainage, the amount of fertilizer is practically enough for a whole cycle. In a system with 30% drainage, the amount of fertilizer is enough for 3-6 weeks. We recommend that from the third week watering with a light fertilizer to maintain the nutrient content of the substrate. Suitable for both pure mineral and organic fertilizer.
Tips
The optimum water saturation is 65%. If you take the soil in your hand and clench it into a fist, only a few drops should come out.
The optimal PH value is between 5.2 and 6.2 for pure mineral fertilizer.
Do not press or squeeze the soil to maintain the great structure of the substrate.
The open structure of the soil allows it to be used in ebb & flow systems without risk of causing a mud bath. The excess water will drain away without leaving any residue. We recommend using enzymes in your personal fertilization regimen.
